12 Skills, 6 Weeks, Zero Schoolwork

The TGD

Ed’s family recently spent hours outside completely disconnected from screens at a beautiful retreat, and Tabitha just got back from a wonderful visit with her daughter and son-in-law and grand-pup. We all need this time to take it easy, breathe, and slow down.

But when the schedule clears out, a familiar friction often creeps into the house.

Without the rigid guardrails of the school calendar, routines fall apart. Mornings stretch into afternoons, screen time creeps up, and tasks that should be simple turn into major standoffs. It’s easy to look at this sudden resistance and worry about the summer slide.

The thing is, executive function skills aren't just school skills—they're life skills. Managing a wide-open summer day requires the exact same cognitive heavy lifting as managing a mid-term project. We want to keep those brains active without turning your living room into a summer school classroom.

That’s why we’re launching the TGD Summer Skills Challenge. It’s a 6-week, low-stress framework designed to target 2 critical skills each week, hitting all 12 by the end of the summer. No worksheets. No forced studying. Just real-life action.

The Official Rules

  • Complete to Earn: Tackle your chosen weekly challenge option to earn a digital sticker for that specific executive function skill.

  • Proof & Submit: To claim your sticker, simply share a photo on Instagram or Facebook and tag @TGDCoach, or email a picture directly to our team.
